CONTRA COSTA COUNTY MANDATE

Pursuant to the new temporary health order issued by Contra Costa Health Services on September 14, 2021, ALL ATTENDEES AGES 12+ (INCLUDING PARTICIPANTS, SPECTATORS and COACHES) WILL BE REQUIRED TO SHOW PROOF OF COVID-19 VACCINATION OR A NEGATIVE COVID-19 TEST TAKEN WITHIN THE PAST 3 DAYS PRIOR TO ENTRY INTO THE GYMNASIUMS ON SEPTEMBER 22. This new temporary health order applies to recreation and exercise facilities. The risk of transmission is highest in these spaces because people breathe heavier due to physical exertion. All attendees (including participants, coaches and spectators) will continue to be required to wear a mask while indoors unless actively eating or drinking, regardless of vaccination status. For more information on the health order requirements, visit https://www.coronavirus.cchealth.org/vaccine-proof.

You can show proof of vaccination by showing photo ID and one of the following items:
·         Your CDC vaccination record card or a copy or photo of your card
·         Your digital vaccine record issued by the State of California
·         Documentation from your healthcare provider stating you’re fully vaccinated

Negative COVID-19 Test Results

People who are not vaccinated must show a negative COVID-19 test result received in the past three days. The results must be from a nucleic acid (PCR) or antigen test that detects a COVID-19 infection. These tests are available through your healthcare provider, county-run sites, and state-run sites. A letter from your healthcare provider stating the result of your COVID-19 test and the date the test was performed can also be used as proof. Results from at-home COVID-19 tests are not acceptable documentation and should not be used for this.

Each person over 12 years of age must complete this form to enter the facility. This form will be used for contact tracing in the event that someone in the building tests positive for COVID-19 and for no other purpose. We are committed to providing a safe environment for all of our guests.

BAS Tournaments takes pride in providing a safe, fun, fair and competitive environment for teams to compete in.  We offer a "FREE AGE/GRADE PROTEST" policy to support our commitment to maintain the integrity of our tournaments!

*** PROOF OF AGE/GRADE ***

All Coaches/Team Coordinators must have proper documentation for their players (birth certificates and/or report cards) with them at the tournament. Teams who are unable to provide proof of age/grade for their players, risk the forfeiture of their games.

Only head coaches are allowed to challenge the legitimacy or eligibility of an opposing player. Fans, parents, and assistant coaches are not allowed to make an official protest. All protests must be filed before the game, at halftime or immediately after a game. But, NEVER during the game.
The team who is protesting must also be able to provide proof of age/grade for their players.
In the event that a player is challenged, the team being protested must be able to provide proof of age/grade for any player(s) being questioned.  If the team is unable to provide the proper documentation (a birth certificate and/or report card) the result will be the forfeit of the game(s) in which the player participated in.

NOTE: We reserve the right to ask a protested player for their name, age, birth date and grade to confirm that it matches their documents.
If you have any issues with the table, refs or other teams, please send your assistant coach to get the tournament director at the facility.
